1 ### Not Related to Software Development 2 All root subdomains *must be related to software development*. This page does not appear to comply with this. Note that you may use a **nested** subdomain for practically anything, including something unrelated to software development (as long as it complies with our [Terms of Service](https://is-a.dev/terms)). 3 4 A nested subdomain is a subdomain of a subdomain; e.g. `foo.bar.is-a.dev` instead of a root subdomain (`bar.is-a.dev`). 5 6 You may not register a nested subdomain without owning and registering the root subdomain it is nested under.
